New Pets -Again

My menagerie has grown once again. Yesterday, Mr. Animal Lover brought over two cockatiels that a friend of his gave away. That family decided to simplify their lives by complicating mine.

Helios Hades

That's Helios on the left, and Hades on the right. Princess named them. She's studying mythology in 6th grade. We are pretty sure they are both males.

The New Cockatiels

Both Biscuit and Savannah think they are wonderful. Luckily, both cats lost interest after a couple of hours. Gogo (the cat not pictured) could care less. She'd rather sleep.

Anyone have advice about cockatiels?

Wear earplugs they will drive you nuts! Other than that, they make good soup!

You're right, they're both males !
The orange cheek patch is usually clearer on females.

well, if you didn't have cats, I'd link you to a place where you can get birdie diapers, lol. but might I say that mine always liked a nice warm spritz of water in the morning. ^-^

they love to learn a new tune. Whistle them a tune a couple of times and they will learn it, then sing and dance along with it for you. Very social birds, like to spend time playing in your hair and snuggling into your shoulder. Mine liked to have a shower under the kitchen tap flowing gently. Very sweet creatures. Good luck!
