Lists of the Decade: Music and Books

One of the great things about the modern world is that we've developed so many ways to entertain ourselves. That must mean we don't have to spend 100% of our waking hours in search of food, or even dollars. We should count our blessings for that alone! But we also have some good music, books, and other distractions. Here are the best and worst of the 2000s.

Rolling Stone's 100 Best Songs of the Decade.

The 50 Best Albums of the Decade, from Paste Magazine.

The Top 200 Albums of the 2000s, from Pitchfork.

The Decade's 50 Most Important Recordings.

The 25 Worst Album Covers of the Decade. (via mental_floss)

The AV Club rates the best books of the ’00s.

The 20 Best Science Fiction Books of the Decade.

Top Ten Book Covers of the ’00s.

The Best Comics of the Decade.

The Top Ten Literary Feuds of the Aughts. (via Metafilter)
