Injury Update

Those of you who suffered through part one and part two of my injury story may be pleased to hear my wounds are much better. I debrided and lanced the bite marks and the swelling went away. As of yesterday, I have full use of my left arm, including lifting heavy objects. The bruising still looks bad, so I am milking it for all the sympathy I can get!

That is unbelievable. Your arm looks like it was put through a washing machine wringer!

Wow--that is quite an injury from "just" trying to restrain a pet. You are very brave!

To be honest, I think that if I were twenty years younger and got the same injury, the bruising wouldn't be so bad.

I hope you're taking an antibiotic. Cat scratches, and especially cat bites, can cause serious infections. I once had a mother cat try to carve my left leg and serve it for dinner when she thought I came too near. I still have the scars, and that was almost 25 years ago. So it's not just your age. Be careful. We love you.

Yikes! That is pretty bad bruising for a cat bite. Keep a close eye on it.
