January's Best Links
Wednesday, 01.31.07 @ 12:03AM
I set a new record for hits in one day, thanks to the guys at b3ta, who fished my Computer Trap Shoot out of their spam filter and posted it in their newsletter. That meant I had to purchase additional bandwidth about five times in a week, but hey, its the price of success. Too bad the ad revenue didn’t keep up. I also found out that the next best thing to getting an article posted on Fark is to talk about your breasts in the comments. With a link. My old blogspot site is back up, too. I’ve renamed it Miss C Recommends, and I post a list of links there every few days. The new team blog Freedom's Place launched this past month, and I'm making some new friends there. And I received a couple more blog-job offers, which I am considering carefully.
Personally, I'm glad to see the end of January. Its the longest month (or seems to be), with the highest heating bills, on top of the Christmas bills and the property taxes that come all at the same time. And those depressingly small W2s and 1099s. Now its on to February, with Groundhog Day, the Superbowl, Washington's Birthday, Lincoln's Birthday, President's Day, Chinese New Year, and the dreaded Valentine's Day!
