Miss Cellania has links, doctored-up photos staring Miss C. herself and YouTube videos from anywhere and everywhere on the internet. If it's funny, you'll probably see it first on her blog. -Suzanne Broughton

Miss Cellania has a site that is to die for. Whenever it’s time for a bit of a smile, interspersed with a gaffaw or two, I head on over there. -Compass Points

If you’re jonesing for more links you may want to visit Miss Cellania’s blog. Or should I say blogs. She’s like the blogosphere’s version of that Jamaican family from In Living Color. She has more blogs than they had jobs. If she starts contributing to one more blog I’m going to stage an intervention. -Cynical-C

I could never in a million years come up with half the wonderful facts, news, links et al that pepper every post she creates. -Mad Baggage

It’s a fantastic set of funny and interesting links, jokes and pictures that she compiled *every day*!   -Neatorama

She finds the coolest, funniest stuff day after day. How on earth she does this I have no clue. -NYC Educator

I don't even know how I found Miss C, but I remember the first time I was there, I burned my chocolate chip cookies. I just couldn't stop browsing! Fun stuff over there.   -Boomer Chick

If you're not regularly heading over and reading her well compiled, link-filled-goodness posts already, then maybe you should take a step back and do some self reflection and introspection to make sure your life is headed the direction it needs to be and that you're on a path that is fulfilling to you and your fellow man, as a person and as an American. -Hoodlumman

Funniest woman alive. -Pixie

It is quite possibly one of the most extensive sites I have seen for links to humourous content. It is a virtual encyclopedia for a myriad of different jokes on different topics and still growing. So a good site and worth checking out, theres definitely something for everyone, or anyone whos up for a laugh that is!   -Mr. Joe Blog

BTW - you quite possibly put together the best, most well researched content on the web, bigtime kudos to you!  -Anita B

One place I keep going back to is Miss Cellania. She really has it going on over there. Her posts are chock full of stuff I've never seen before, along with a few old favorites I had forgotten about. Anyone that can consistently come up with that much good stuff deserves kudos. -Blue Beaver Beer

Miss Cellania - is a great read, and there’s more than enough laughs to kill an evening with, on any given day. Miss C has her fingers on the pulse of every joke on the web that you haven’t seen yet. -Saskboy

(Funny, if a tad lowbrow)  - Utopia Moment

Fabulous as usual..I appreciate all of the effort..and I am truly humbled.  -Homo Escapeons

I'm not even sure why I thought her post is funny, but it is. That's all you're getting from me. Go read it.  -konagod

YAY! Miss Cellania knows I'm alive!!  -Fuzzy Dave

The Cat's Christmas

Christmas3catsfront.0.gifEvery year when the tree goes up, Gogo thinks its her birthday. Such a nice gift! A tree right there in the house, with lots of branches to climb, and toys and candy hung on every branch! They even put lights on it so I can see the toys better! They even put it in front of the window, so I'll have a great view when I reach the top! They must really love me!

Biscuit is quite different. Technically it's not his first Christmas, since he just turned one year old. But he was born in the basement next door, so this is his first Christmas tree. He's not all that enthused. He's more into the two other "gifts" he's received since cold weather hit: the birdfeeder outside my bedroom window, and the warm fireplace. Smart cat!

How to keep your cat from climbing a Christmas tree.

Pictures of cats enjoying the holiday season, courtesy of Literary Cats.

A little cat named Buddah posted about the wonderful tree on his blog last year when he was a mere kitten. And he got some nice comments from his kitty friends.

ER’s cat Ice-T occasionally guest-posts, as he did about his Christmas tree.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.

'Cuzz the cat had pounced on himcc2.jpg
And tore him apart -
Ate his mouse intestines
And chewed up his heart.

Kitty thought he heard sleighbells,
Which made him take pause -
He stopped daintily licking
The blood from his claws.

"Must be Santa," thought Kitty
(That quite clever cat)
'Cuz nobody else climbs down
The chimney like that.

Indeed it was ol' Santa
So jolly and fat
With a huge load of presents
And all for the cat!

"Wow, the best Christmas ever!"
Kitty thought with a purr,
Then he coughed up a hairball
And shed some more fur!

Joel Veitch, the genius behind the classic Viking Kittens, has a new animation, The Twelve Days of Christmas for Tommy's Charity. Proceeds from the sale of the MP3 go to Tommy's Charity, which I gather is kinda like the UK version of the March of Dimes. (via b3ta)

Chaos Kitty presents a rather silly holiday game. You’ll giggle when it starts to go really fast!

3. Open door and remove cat from closet.

4. Go to cupboard and retrieve rolls of wrapping paper.

5. Go back and remove cat from cupboard.

6. Go to drawer, and collect transparent sticky tape, ribbons, scissors, labels, etc. . .

7. Lay out presents and wrapping materials on table, to enable wrapping strategy to be formed.

8. Go back to drawer to get string, remove cat that has been in the drawer since last visit and collect string.

9. Remove present from bag.

10. Remove cat from bag.

14. Cut the paper to size, keeping the cutting line straight.

15. Throw away first sheet as cat chased the scissors, and tore the paper.

16. Cut second sheet of paper to size - by putting cat in the bag the present came in.

17. Place present on paper.

18. Lift up edges of paper to seal in present. Wonder why edges don't reach. Realize cat is between present and paper. Remove cat.

19. Place object on paper, to hold in place while tearing transparent sticky tape.

20. Spend 20 minutes carefully trying to remove transparent sticky tape from cat with pair of nail scissors.

21. Seal paper with sticky tape, making corners as neat as possible.

22. Look for roll of ribbon. Chase cat down hall in order to retrieve ribbon.

23. Try to wrap present with ribbon in a two-directional turn.

24. Re-roll ribbon and remove paper, which is now torn due to cat's enthusiastic ribbon chase.

25. Repeat steps 13-20 until you reach last sheet of paper.

26. Decide to skip steps 13-17 in order to save time and reduce risk of losing last sheet of paper. Retrieve old cardboard box that is the right size for sheet of paper.

27. Put present in box, and tie down with string.
cc3.jpg

34. Discover cat has already torn paper. Unlock door go out and hunt through various cupboards, looking for sheet of last year's paper. Remember that you haven't got any left because cat helped with this last year as well.

If Cats Wrote Christmas Cards

Meowy Christmas from your loving cat.
Aren't I cute?
Now leave me the hell alone.

We, your cats, at Christmas say,
Thanks for caring for us each day.
We love this season, all green and red,
And by the way, the hamster's dead.

As watchman-cat, I've done my job,
The house is safe once more.
That shiny stuff that stormed the tree
Is dead now on the floor.

Wrapping paper! Ribbon! Bows!
Tree! Tree! Tree! Tree!
Shiny! Shiny! Christmas balls!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Aww, your cat looks a lot like Mingus, my penultimate black cat. I SURE WISH I had a digital camera!

I love how you're just like "Yeah, whatever. The cat knocked down the Christmas tree." Had to send link to my husband. Will induce nightmares.

A knocked-down Christmas tree is common, with all these dogs, cats, and kids! The last time I had anything breakable on a Christmas tree was ...in college, I think!

You gotta leave it to the cats. We no longer use glass ornaments on our trees - come to think of it, I'm not so sure we have any left! Forget tinsel(Icicles)!

But now we have a fiber-optic tree - we can get by with no decorations on it!

P.S. By the way I "borrowed" the Cat with the mistletoe pic. Don't be surprised if i manage to slip it into a post between now and Christmas.

How the heck did a big ol' manly-man redneck like my own self wind up fallin' for a dang kitty cat???? :-)

Were I to do a Top Anything List of Reasons Pet Rocks Are Better Than Cats, Christmas would have to be Reason#1...

There's nothing quite like cats at Christmas. They've been a part of nearly every one of mine. They're a riot. Last year one of our climbed up the trunk of our tree, nearly to the top. Scared the crap out of me because I didn't know what the hell the noise was, and when I turned around the tree was shaking violently!

I generally don't put my tree up until Christmas Eve fr just this reason...inevitably, the cat climbs up into it, probably going after one of the talking Star Trek ornaments...y'know, someone accused me of being a geek this week, come to think of it....can;t imagine what they meant...anyway, when I bought the Borg cube, I had a hellacious time keeping it in the tree (which meant the lights came crashing down too) because the cat just found it...to quote Spock..."fascinating."

And I want my tree to stay up AT LEAST until the presents are opened!

I'm not putting a tree a large tree up this year, just a small one with a few decorations inside and out. I have Raney the demon cat to contend with. My stuff stays up until New Year's Day, so I don't think it was a total waste to do all that work to begin with.

There are some things on here you are destined to see again Miss C.

After the "Rube Golberg" incident with Smokey the cat, we have decided to put up the tree in a room with a closable door. He will be allowed near the tree only when we are present just to observe. After a few days .. maybe .. or maybe not.

This is so good, I don't see how I can improve upon it, except maybe to pass a little gas. http://www.starterupsteve.com/swf/koty.html
