And this, fellow readers, is why Miss Cellania is probably the best writer we've ever had. A thing of beauty. -YesButNoButYes

...Miss Cellania who’s wonderfully funny and knowledgeable and also happens to write for Mental Floss. Her personal blog is updated as often as any multi-contributor blog site and has some wonderful gems... -Infinite Well

Miss Cellania has links, doctored-up photos staring Miss C. herself and YouTube videos from anywhere and everywhere on the internet. If it's funny, you'll probably see it first on her blog. -Suzanne Broughton

Miss Cellania has a site that is to die for. Whenever it’s time for a bit of a smile, interspersed with a gaffaw or two, I head on over there. -Compass Points

If you’re jonesing for more links you may want to visit Miss Cellania’s blog. Or should I say blogs. She’s like the blogosphere’s version of that Jamaican family from In Living Color. She has more blogs than they had jobs. If she starts contributing to one more blog I’m going to stage an intervention. -Cynical-C

I could never in a million years come up with half the wonderful facts, news, links et al that pepper every post she creates. -Mad Baggage

It’s a fantastic set of funny and interesting links, jokes and pictures that she compiled *every day*! -Neatorama

She finds the coolest, funniest stuff day after day. How on earth she does this I have no clue. -NYC Educator

I don't even know how I found Miss C, but I remember the first time I was there, I burned my chocolate chip cookies. I just couldn't stop browsing! Fun stuff over there. -Boomer Chick

If you're not regularly heading over and reading her well compiled, link-filled-goodness posts already, then maybe you should take a step back and do some self reflection and introspection to make sure your life is headed the direction it needs to be and that you're on a path that is fulfilling to you and your fellow man, as a person and as an American. -Hoodlumman

Funniest woman alive. -Pixie

It is quite possibly one of the most extensive sites I have seen for links to humourous content. It is a virtual encyclopedia for a myriad of different jokes on different topics and still growing. So a good site and worth checking out, theres definitely something for everyone, or anyone whos up for a laugh that is! -Mr. Joe Blog

BTW - you quite possibly put together the best, most well researched content on the web, bigtime kudos to you! -Anita B

One place I keep going back to is Miss Cellania. She really has it going on over there. Her posts are chock full of stuff I've never seen before, along with a few old favorites I had forgotten about. Anyone that can consistently come up with that much good stuff deserves kudos. -Blue Beaver Beer

Miss Cellania - is a great read, and there’s more than enough laughs to kill an evening with, on any given day. Miss C has her fingers on the pulse of every joke on the web that you haven’t seen yet. -Saskboy

(Funny, if a tad lowbrow) -Utopia Moment

Fabulous as usual..I appreciate all of the effort..and I am truly humbled. -Homo Escapeons

I'm not even sure why I thought her post is funny, but it is. That's all you're getting from me. Go read it. -konagod

Coffee and Chocolate

MCCappuchino.pngThe family recently made a pilgrimage to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where we took a tour of the chocolate factory. It was a good time for the kids, but my high point was the chocolate store. I picked up several forms of dark chocolate, one bar of which I am enjoying right now, with a cup of coffee. I would go so far as to say I am addicted to coffee. I also love chocolate (whats not to love)! But when you put the two together, as in a nice piece of dark chocolate with a hot cup of fresh joe, I am in heaven. Now, if I could just find a nice man to give me a footrub at the same time...

Useless Advice on why men cheat. It will make sense eventually.

Ya know, if I could just make a decent cup of coffee, I wouldn’t have to worry about my husband and the girls in his office...

A restaurant called Chocolate By the Bald Man caters to chocoholics. A chocolate restaurant. I like the concept!

I know people who are very particular about their coffee, like PAgent and Clu.

You can even inhale your coffee! coffeelatte.jpeg

I know there’s a special name for the art of making designs in coffee with cream, but I can’t think of it. But here’s a gallery of such art. (via Grow-A-Brain)

The Sage of Starbucks! His mission? To drink a cup of joe at every Starbucks in the land. Here, the story of one man, over 12,000 coffee shops, and what happens when you down 29 Talls in a single day.

The Coffee Monster!

Check out the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Toilet Seat. It makes the perfect topper for the chocolate toilet cake. Order the toilet seat, and they ‘ll give you directions for the cake.

An overweight business associate of mine decided it was time to shed some excess pounds. He took his new diet seriously, even changing his driving route to avoid his favourite bakery.

One morning, however, he arrived at work carrying a gigantic chocolate cake. We all scolded him, but his smile remained cherubic.

"This is a very special coffeecake," he explained. "I accidentally drove by the bakery this morning and there in the window was a host of goodies. I felt this was no accident, so I prayed, 'Lord, if you want me to have one of those delicious chocolate cakes, let me have a parking place directly in front of the bakery.' And sure enough," he continued, "the eighth time around the block, there it was!"

Cousin Elly is the world's worst at getting instructions mixed up. When she got married her husband bought her one of those fancy, electric coffee makers. It had all the latest gadgets on it.

Salesman Riley carefully explained how everything worked; how to plug it in, set the timer, go back to bed, and upon rising, the coffee is ready."

A few weeks later Elly was back in the store and Riley asked her how she liked the coffee maker.

"Wonderful!" she replied, "However, there's one thing I don't understand. Why do I have to go to bed every time I want to make a pot of coffee?"

Thought for today: Researchers have discovered that chocolate produces some of the same reactions in the brain as marijuana. The researchers also discovered other similarities between the two but can't remember what they are.  ~Matt Lauer

My morning cup (or three) of coffee is the lifeline to coherence and comprehension. Then I get to work, where they use some Brand X (cuz it's cheaper by the shovelful), and it's all downhill from there...

I don't think I'd drink my coffee upside down like that girl did!

The closing date for submitting your entry is Wednesday 29th November.

recent research suggests that dark chocolate in particular is very good for your health. Chocolate (chocolatl) was invented by the Aztecs. I was drinking green tea this summer/fall, but now that it's cold outside I've gone back to coffee. My mother used to drink hers black. I never understood how she could do that. I need at least some sugar in mine.

Miss Cellania,
Is the road to Hershey, PA really known as the "Hershey Highway"?

The Chocolate By The Bald Guy link is hosed.

Was that the one on Broadway in the Village? I've never been...

Two locations: 841 Broadway (between 13th & 14th) and 141 2nd Avenue (at 9th). I have no idea what neighborhoods those are.

The guy who wants to go to every Starbucks in the country should simply go to McDonalds. Their coffee is much better. No comparison.

BTW I don't work at McDoanlds or own any McD stock, this is just an obervation!

I usually drink expresso with Tiramisu (It definitely does what the translation says: "Pick Me Up.")

My taste for chocolate has lessoned quite a bit over the last few years (I know. What a crime). Thank goodness I visited Hershey, Pa. when I still was a chocolate lover. heh

If you like the chocolate/coffee combination, you’ll probably love coffee flavored with drinking chocolate. I found a lot of info and drinking chocolate recipes at http://www.drinkingchocolates.com. Adding it to coffee or icing the combination is excellent! They even have additional flavors you can add, like raspberry or irish crème.
