And this, fellow readers, is why Miss Cellania is probably the best writer we've ever had. A thing of beauty. -YesButNoButYes

...Miss Cellania who’s wonderfully funny and knowledgeable and also happens to write for Mental Floss. Her personal blog is updated as often as any multi-contributor blog site and has some wonderful gems... -Infinite Well

Miss Cellania has links, doctored-up photos staring Miss C. herself and YouTube videos from anywhere and everywhere on the internet. If it's funny, you'll probably see it first on her blog. -Suzanne Broughton

Miss Cellania has a site that is to die for. Whenever it’s time for a bit of a smile, interspersed with a gaffaw or two, I head on over there. -Compass Points

If you’re jonesing for more links you may want to visit Miss Cellania’s blog. Or should I say blogs. She’s like the blogosphere’s version of that Jamaican family from In Living Color. She has more blogs than they had jobs. If she starts contributing to one more blog I’m going to stage an intervention. -Cynical-C

I could never in a million years come up with half the wonderful facts, news, links et al that pepper every post she creates. -Mad Baggage

It’s a fantastic set of funny and interesting links, jokes and pictures that she compiled *every day*! -Neatorama

She finds the coolest, funniest stuff day after day. How on earth she does this I have no clue. -NYC Educator

I don't even know how I found Miss C, but I remember the first time I was there, I burned my chocolate chip cookies. I just couldn't stop browsing! Fun stuff over there. -Boomer Chick

If you're not regularly heading over and reading her well compiled, link-filled-goodness posts already, then maybe you should take a step back and do some self reflection and introspection to make sure your life is headed the direction it needs to be and that you're on a path that is fulfilling to you and your fellow man, as a person and as an American. -Hoodlumman

Funniest woman alive. -Pixie

It is quite possibly one of the most extensive sites I have seen for links to humourous content. It is a virtual encyclopedia for a myriad of different jokes on different topics and still growing. So a good site and worth checking out, theres definitely something for everyone, or anyone whos up for a laugh that is! -Mr. Joe Blog

BTW - you quite possibly put together the best, most well researched content on the web, bigtime kudos to you! -Anita B

One place I keep going back to is Miss Cellania. She really has it going on over there. Her posts are chock full of stuff I've never seen before, along with a few old favorites I had forgotten about. Anyone that can consistently come up with that much good stuff deserves kudos. -Blue Beaver Beer

Miss Cellania - is a great read, and there’s more than enough laughs to kill an evening with, on any given day. Miss C has her fingers on the pulse of every joke on the web that you haven’t seen yet. -Saskboy

(Funny, if a tad lowbrow) -Utopia Moment

Fabulous as usual..I appreciate all of the effort..and I am truly humbled. -Homo Escapeons

I'm not even sure why I thought her post is funny, but it is. That's all you're getting from me. Go read it. -konagod

YAY! Miss Cellania knows I'm alive!! -Fuzzy Dave

October's Best Links

MCcliptitle.pngOctober sure was a lot of fun around here! Could November even hold a candle to it? Maybe... I'm taking the kids on a road trip tomorrow. Its their fall break, so they got to select the destination. I'll let you know how it turns out. I have new posts set to go every day while I'm gone; one more reason I'm glad to be with Squarespace hosting now. BTW, if anyone decides to use Squarespace, go through the link at the bottom of my sidebar, and I'll get a referral fee. They let you try it for a month free!

The biggest thing that happened to this site in October was that I started as a contributing editor at Neatorama. I had no clue how much traffic Alex got over there until some of them came over to check this one out! There were more visitors here on October 12th than ever before. Its been pretty good since then, too. The most popular post of the month was Pumpkins, thanks to Eat My Hamster, and I suspect Stumble Upon. Film Festival got more hits, but that was because of Neatorama. I also got some traffic from 25peeps.com, where I put in a good saskboy.jpgshowing for a while, thank you all for that! I told you I wouldn't ask you to go click on me anymore, so I am asking you to go and click on Saskboy's photo!  Here's what he looks like. And my article "Does My Butt Look Big in This?" was included in an online magazine, WE Magazine for Women. Here are this months links worth saving.

This just in: Last night at about 8PM, I got a visit from someone in Chatsworth, California who was Googling for "halloween rats in blood sauce." That person was my 100,000th visitor, according to sitemeter. Now I don't know how accurate that is, since Squarespace would say I have twice that many hits, and MyBlogLog would say half as many (it depends on your definition of a hit). But sitemeter seems to be the industry standard. I think its pretty neat!

That twisty woman on the stairs would make a great hockey goalie I bet.

If people click my picture on my site with my referral link, I get to stay on the front page at 25peeps longer too, they seem to count that as a vote too. http://www.25peeps.com/r/2236
I'm one of only about 3 people with more referrals than votes :-S which says that of people I send there, more click on the "butt cleavage" or something else, rather than me :-D

That picture of sleeping couple in the bed puzzles me; I can't read that post-it note on her forehead.

What does it say?

This is in Galveston, and I have been up close and personal with that crypt in question, although I didn't see any ectoplasmic activity.

Hey, I just got it. Miss Cellania. Like miscellanea, right?

Geez, how long did that take me, like a week?

Happy Halloween!

Health care is a freakin' pain in the ass. I'm fortunate to have retired from the military, so the health care plan is cheap and relatively painless. We did sign up for my wife's dental and vision coverage though...and the whole process really, really sucks!

Hey congratulations on the 100k. Richly deserved. When I get a chance tonight I'll do my tiny part to push you toward 110k.
